It may sound controversial but many cats get people’s food. Cats especially Bengal cats love eating home food. I have learned this fact from cat clients coming to our clinic. Therefore, here are some cat food ideas.
The menu of homemade cat food.
Cook some chicken, or chicken liver, beef or tuna, and puree it with a little pumpkin, coconut, fish or olive oil. You may add some veg – peas, green beans, kale, or squash – and filtered water. Occasionally add eggs. Additionally, vitamin supplements including lutein may be added. Never give salt, sugar or any spices.
You can cook any meat, chicken ( must be chopped), boneless fish for the main course. Boil them well with a few healthy oils like olive oil, soybean oil or sunflower oil until water almost dry because cats do not eat watery soup. You can even stir fry in a pan with those oils. The important thing is not to put salt, spice, onion, and garlic as they are intoxicated to felines.
The benefits of homemade cat food
You have the benefit of knowing exactly what’s in their food. A noticeable change in their agility is a sure thing. Many cat parents have noticed after starting them on this regime their litter boxes didn’t emit the foul odors than they had on manufactured cat foods.
It is a fun to see them waiting as you cook food for them. They wait patiently near your kitchen.
A few points to consider
I recommend boneless fish eliminating the risk of fish bone stabs my kitties’ throat.
If you are in a hurry and busy situation, it is ok to feed them scramble egg fried without salt and pepper.
I do not recommend raw foods because even they are fresh, the possible risk of the bacterial problem still in high. Yes, cats are predators by nature but we should not treat own beloved domesticated kitties as wild jungle feline.
I have mentioned stir-frying the chicken or beef, never try it in dogs. For dogs, boiled food is better. I had to tell you this to know many of my clients have dogs and cats both in their home.
