Eating Habits of Siberian Huskies.
Unlike Labradors, Huskies keep an eye on the food intake and they do not eat unless they are really hungry. A husky will eat more if he is exercising more.
Therefore, huskies should be exercised daily in the morning for one hour before giving food. They should be given rest for half an hour before serving food. This will ensure prevention against torsion and GDV.
Since these dogs were bred to work in harsh conditions such as Iceland where food was not easily available, they have a high metabolism and know how to use nutrients. Feeding quality food to the Siberian between 2-9 months is very important as this is the main growth phase for this dog.
